Getting to Know Our School

SJLAM is a college preparatory academy that offers a full-range of classes to maximize student success.

We offer a Pre-Law/Criminal Justice program that includes ELAC college courses.

Our school's "Franky Carrillo Teen Court" gives all students an opportunity to participate in monthly criminal juvenile trials and learn more about the law.

All teachers work closely together on specific grade level teams to plan semester projects that are centered on the theme of social justice and provide students multiple opportunities to use their collective voice to positively impact their community.

Because of that student voice and call to service, our school was awarded the "Civic Leadership School of Merit" award and recognized by the "Washington Post" for our academic program.
